How to cook ceremonial cacao

Want to make your own little cacao ceremony or start your morning with a healthy power cacao?

Ingredients:

  • Ceremonial cacao

Optional:

  • Cinnamon

  • Cayenne pepper

  • Salt

  • Vanilla

  • Agave syrup or coconut blossom syrup

Preparation:

  1. Cut cacao into very small pieces. For Energizing Yoga or a daily cup of cacao, 12-18g of cacao per person. For a cacao ceremony, 30-40g cacao per person.

  2. Place cacao in a saucepan and turn cooker to medium. Wait until the cacao slowly melts a little, but does not burn,

  3. Add water. One cup of water per person (approx. 1 dl).

  4. Stir with a whisk and let the cacao simmer on medium heat.

  5. Add a pinch of cinnamon, vanilla etc. as desired.

  6. Caution! The cacao should not be heated above 60 degrees, otherwise important ingredients are lost. Ideal temperature 48-50 degrees.

  7. Stir and stir :-)

  8. Pass on good thoughts to your cacao

  9. Enjoy your cacao.

Instead of water, you can also add oat milk or coconut milk. You can also drink the cacao without spices to get the full flavour of the cacao.
